Political post are not my usual thing, they used be when I had my old blog but I decided to focus more on my writing and less on my political beliefs. This year changed a lot of that.
In Las Vegas our union contract is coming up. The debate and wrangling with the casinos has begun. I believe that with “Occupy Wall Street” this could be the best chance for our union to make a stand. If you have not been following the protests, you should be.
2011 started with the Arab Spring. Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Jordan and few other countries. After the fall of Mubarak in Egypt other protests began in countries that it had been building for a long time, Great Britain being one of them.
What happened in Great Britain had many causes. Here are examples of them.
The U.S. has seen people take to the streets in the last few years to argue on side or the other. The Tea Party Movement is an example of this.
In the last three weeks there has been another protest. One which has surprised me and did not get a lot of press initially.
